Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 20, 2026
Scramgram is operated by Page Scholar Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website at scramgram.com and our mobile applications (collectively, the "Service").
Information We Collect
Information You Don't Provide
Scramgram does not require an account, login, email address, or any personal information to play. You can enjoy the full game experience without providing any identifying information.
Automatically Collected Information
When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- Usage data: Pages visited, game interactions (puzzles played, scores, words found), and feature usage. This data is collected through Google Analytics and is used to understand how players use the Service and to improve the experience.
- Device information: Browser type, operating system, screen size, and general device category (mobile, tablet, desktop).
- IP address: Collected automatically by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and analytics services. We do not store or process IP addresses beyond standard server operations and rate limiting.
Local Storage
The Service uses your browser's local storage to save game progress, such as whether you've completed today's puzzle and your results. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Advertising
The Service may display advertisements provided by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings.
For more information about how Google uses data from sites that use its services, visit Google's Partner Sites Policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics. Google Analytics uses cookies to track interactions with the Service. This information is used to compile reports and help us improve the Service. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Mobile Applications
Our iOS and Android applications may additionally collect:
- Push notification tokens: Only if you opt in to daily reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
- App Tracking Transparency (iOS): On iOS, we request your permission before any tracking occurs, in accordance with Apple's ATT framework. You can change this at any time in your device's Privacy settings.
- Crash reports: Anonymous crash data collected through Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymous, aggregated data with our advertising and analytics partners as described above.
Data Retention
Since we do not collect personal information, there is minimal data to retain. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention policies. Cached game data in our systems (such as puzzle data and generated images) is retained for up to 30 days.
Cookies & Consent
This site uses cookies set by Google AdSense (for ads) and Google Analytics (GA4) to understand usage and serve relevant ads. You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's Partner Sites Policy.
- Essential storage: Game state, consent preference, and streak data are stored in your browser's localStorage. These are always active and never transmitted to our servers.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics uses cookies to track anonymous usage data (pages viewed, session duration, device type). You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
- Advertising cookies: Google AdSense may set cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
For EEA, UK & Swiss Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we request your consent before setting non-essential cookies. When you first visit the site, a small banner at the bottom of the page asks for your preference.
- If you accept, Google Analytics and AdSense operate normally with full cookie access.
- If you decline, we still serve the game, but ads are non-personalized and analytics data is modeled (no cookies are set).
- You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's site data for scramgram.com and revisiting the site.
For California Users (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to opt out of the "sale" of personal information. While we do not sell personal information in the traditional sense, sharing data with advertising partners for personalized ads may qualify as a "sale" under the CCPA.
- Click "Do Not Sell My Info" in the footer of any page to opt out of personalized advertising.
- After opting out, you may still see non-personalized ads.
- We do not knowingly sell personal information of users under 16.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since Scramgram collects minimal personal information, most data exists only on your device (in local storage) and can be cleared through your browser settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
